Telehealth Services in California
With COVID-19 spreading throughout California, Xpress Urgent Care will now be offering telehealth services to prevent putting senior citizens and other patients at risk. While our urgent care clinics in Orange County will remain open, telehealth is recommended to keep patients who need immediate care for a potential illness safe.
What is Telehealth?
Telehealth allows patients to be seen by an online doctor from anywhere, including nursing/assisted living facilities or from the comfort of your own home.
Being seen by an online doctor benefits you and others — especially during the coronavirus outbreak — as it allows you to receive immediate care from a real doctor without needing to visit a public healthcare facility.
Whether you’re dealing with the flu, common cold, or some other minor illness, staying inside is the best way to ensure you don’t infect others or put yourself at risk for catching the coronavirus.

How much is a Telehealth visit?
We are focused on taking care of our patients and as a result will waive co-pays for now (assuming your insurance is active and in our network). We will submit the encounter to your insurance company and allow them to process the claim. Applicable deductibles and copayments may be required in the future depending on your plan’s benefits. Please allow enough time until your insurance has processed your claim and you have received your EOB (explanation of benefits).
Insurances currently covering telehealth visits in SOCAL.
- Tricare (VA)
- HMO (Healthcare Partners, Talbert, ARTA, and Others)
- Family Choice (ALL DAY)
- United Care
- CHOC Children’s
If you don’t have insurance, are out of network, or choose not to use your insurance, we are offering an affordable telehealth visit for only $60.
Should I try a Telehealth visit?
Yes, If you suspect you may have COVID-19, we highly recommend staying home and taking advantage of our telehealth services. This will keep you from spreading the virus to others and will ensure you receive fast and convenient care. If your symptoms align with known COVID-19 symptoms, your online doctor will provide guidance on how to get a coronavirus test at one of our 4 urgent care facilities throughout Orange County.
Per the CDC, COVID-19 symptoms include:
- Shortness of breath
- Dry cough
Telehealth is Covered for Medical Members
President Trump recently announced that Medicare members around the country will be able to receive telehealth services with no out-of-pocket cost to them during the COVID-19 outbreak. This means medical members don’t need to put themselves at risk for catching the virus and can be seen and treated by one of our doctors from anywhere.
Whether you’re at home or an assisted living facility, you can be seen immediately by a healthcare provider for a wide range of on-going or new ailments including:
- Cold & flu
- Minor lacerations & burns
- Minor sprains
…and more. Additionally, if you are experiencing symptoms that could be related to COVID-19, your telehealth doctor can help you get quick and convenient testing at one of our urgent care clinics.
With the virus spreading, California has imposed new restrictions; banning gatherings of any size and recommending all residents to stay at home as much as possible. Because medical members consist of patients who could be most vulnerable when it comes to COVID-19, Telehealth is the perfect solution to keep you at home while still receiving the health care you need.
